Greenleaf Apothecaries – an affiliate of New York-based multistate operator Acreage Holdings – is poised to open three medical cannabis dispensaries in Ohio after resolving its dispute with state regulators.

The company, which does business as The Botanist and Harvest of Ohio, was prohibited from opening new dispensaries until its case was resolved.

Regulators in July alleged that Greenleaf had violated state ownership rules.

Acreage Holdings CEO Kevin Murphy, released a statement saying that Greenleaf had resolved its dispute with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy, allowing it to open the three medical marijuana dispensaries.

Acreage Holdings trades on the Canadian Securities Exchange as ACRG.U and on the over-the-counter exchange as ACRGF.

When Greenleaf opens the three dispensaries, it will have a total of five in Ohio.

The Marijuana Business Factbook projects medical marijuana sales of $80 million-$90 million in Ohio this year.
